Just love our new sex survey
Our Great British Sex Survey in 2009 disclosed a great deal about the nation's sexual secrets, but we want to find out even more. That's why, in National Condom Week (starting May 16th), we are launching the Just Love Safe Sex survey. Carried out in conjunction with the JLS Foundation and Brook, the survey aims to be bigger and better by encouraging even more people to reveal their sexual habits.
We want more
When it comes to improving sexual health, knowledge is everything. The more we know about sexual attitudes and behaviour, the more we can adapt and develop sexual health services so that they are suitable for everyone.
Encouraging as many people as possible to get involved will give us a better picture of the sexual health of the UK and may reveal some interesting approaches to sexual health campaigns we've never considered before.
If you do get the chance to point someone towards the survey at www.durexsurvey.co.uk, even better, because the more we can tell you about your clients and their behaviour, the more you can do for them. And there's nothing like a little incentive to attract people…
There's something for everyone
For HCPs, DurexHCP will provide all of our results so that you can benefit from the essential statistics and interesting information we discover about what the nation gets up to after dark.
And for the participants, completing the Just Love Safe Sex Survey offers more than just being a part of something big. We're offering them the chance to win prizes, including:
A pair of JLS tickets plus a backstage pass
5 iPad 2s
10 pairs of JLS tour tickets
250 copies of JLS' new album
500 copies of JLS' new book
What might we find out?
Trends of behaviour and information about contraception use and sexual health knowledge can have very useful implications for the way you and your colleagues tackle sexual health issues across the UK.
We hope to find out more about:
Who your clients are likely to listen to about sexual health and contraception: Providing or directing clients to the most suitable source of information for them will help them to protect themselves.
How often your clients have sex: This will offer a better idea of how many condoms to dispense or which forms of contraception may be more effective.
Changes in behaviour during the summer holiday season: People taking more risks during the summer may benefit from alternative or additional contraceptive information and advice.
So sit back and relax…
Once the results of the survey are available, we'll post them on the DurexHCP website and send out an email. The results could go a long way towards helping us understand more about sexual health and behaviour across the UK.
By gaining an even better understanding of why people do what they do, we hope to continue to improve the ways in which we encourage the nation to Just Love Safe.
